Built by someone who cares about how cabinet work actually gets done.
ShopReady Cabinets exists because the gap between a good-looking model and a useful production workflow is real. The extension is being built to close that gap with structured logic, configurable standards, and tools that respect how shops actually work.
The Story
The system is focused on cabinet logic, not just cabinet shapes.
ShopReady Cabinets started from a simple frustration: too much cabinet work inside SketchUp still depends on repetitive setup, inconsistent standards, and manual cleanup after the modeling is "done."
Jay began building the extension to make cabinet modeling more repeatable, more shop-aware, and more useful once the project moves beyond concept.
The result is a system focused on cabinet logic, not just cabinet shapes.
Build For Real Workflow
This product is designed around the actual sequence of cabinet work: define standards, place cabinets, edit safely, add context, and prepare for output.
Make Standards Reusable
Shops should not have to re-enter the same decisions every time a new project starts. Standards, presets, and reusable profiles are treated as part of the product, not an afterthought.
Support The User Clearly
Good tools need good explanations. Built-in help, guided copy, docs, and support content are part of the experience, not something bolted on later.
Roadmap
Making the workflow deeper, cleaner, and more production-ready
The roadmap is centered on making the workflow deeper, cleaner, and more production-ready over time.
Documentation & Output Center
Generate cleaner project packets, cabinet sheets, and export-ready output from the same project data.
Stronger Manufacturing Output
Expand cut-list detail, cabinet schedules, validation, and other downstream production support.
More Advanced Trim And Profile Systems
Keep expanding reusable profile workflows, door construction support, and trim intelligence.
Better Team And Library Management
Improve how shops manage shared standards, assets, and multi-user consistency over time.
